“Flowing Somen noodles event” was held!

On July 13, KISSA hosted a Nagashi Somen event with international students at Kakuma no Sato. KISSA is a club that provides a forum for exchange between Japanese and international students at Kanazawa University. About 40 students participated in the event, enjoying Nagashi Somen (flowing Somen noodles) and making Tanzaku (paper strips for Tanabata Festival), which are unique to Japan. The lanes for the “Nagashi Somen” and the Tanabata decorations were handmade by KISSA members using bamboo cut from the hill behind the house. The participants deepened exchanges with each other while enjoying Soumen noodles.
