New Year’s Event for International Students

On January 21st, the New Year’s Event for International Students was held at Kakumachi Plaza with 22 international students participating.

First, the international students made colorful mizuhiki (paper string) ornamental crafts under the guidance of an invited external instructor.

Over the bridges of the Kakuma campus of Kanazawa University, the country flags of the international students who have enrolled in Kanazawa University.

On this occasion, we prepared the flags of the countries of the new international students admitted to our university since the last flag raising ceremony and the international students looked them, along with a quiz.

Next, the international students deepened their relationships while experiencing Japanese tradition by trying new year sweets of Kanazawa, and by playing a Japan map quiz, kendama (cup and ball), and so on.

The new flags ware hoisted over the bridge in February 5.
